Day 4

Whoever said drawing a featherless cockatoo on a file folder is easy was not being completely honest. This bird actually exists - her (yes her) name is Oscar. She has a rare virus which causes her to pull out newly grown feathers due to skin irritation. 2009 is bringing an entirely new usage of office supplies, "they are not just for work anymore."

Project VII-Day Thirty: Grass

     And that is a wrap! Day Thirty's photo was taken at Oliver Nature Park in Mansfield, TX earlier this summer. The labeling of each drawing evolved during the project. In the bottom left-hand corner is the sequence number of the drawing within the 30-day time frame and the location of where the reference photo was taken. My take away from this particular project was having the opportunity to spend more time with a special moment I had in nature. It allowed me to marvel at the intricacies of the plants and animals around us.
