Okay kids...here we go again. 30 Sketches Project Numero Dos - in yo face! I thought I would start off with a bang and go for 2 sketches the first day. These preliminary sketches are for a painting commissioned by my ole high school buddy Miles. It is crazy to think that I haven't seen him in about 15 years but here I am painting an owl for him as a gift for his dad. Miles told me this great Texas ranch story about how his dad found this little guy on his property. There were rescue attempts, a cat was involved, phone calls were made....in short this dude is alright and I get to paint his portrait.
